DIDIER DROGBA gave the clearest hint yet he wants to quit Chelsea by confessing: I know how to get out of my nightmare.

The striker — left on the bench for an hour of last night’s draw with Bordeaux — described the last six months as the “worst of my life”.

SunSport revealed yesterday Drogba secretly met Inter Milan’s vice-president Marco Branca in London on Monday.

And, after being banned for three games for hurling a coin at Burnley fans during a Carling Cup tie, Drogba admitted: “You can say the last six months have been the worst in my career.

“It’s been really tough for me. But I’ve been through difficult moments before so I know how to get myself out of these.”

Then, when asked how he would achieve that, the Ivory Coast star ominously smiled and replied: “I will do it.”

Drogba, 30, showed remorse for what happened during the Burnley match.

He told Sky Sports: “It was a reaction. Maybe, it was too much. I feel like what I’ve done is really, really, really, really bad.

“So it’s better for me to be quiet on that and to be back on the pitch and playing, doing what I know best.”

Nicolas Anelka hit a hat-trick as Chelsea demolished Sunderland and moved above Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.

Stamford Bridge may no longer be seen as a fortress after Liverpool's victory there last weekend but, for Chelsea, this was the perfect riposte to seeing their 86-match unbeaten run ended in their last outing on home soil.

Frank Lampard also netted to record the 100th league goal of his career.

Alex was the other Blues player to strike in a match which saw Sunderland manager Roy Keane sent to the stands after clashing with officials.

The title-chasing Blues saw in half-time in imperious fashion, and the Sunderland players barely touched the ball in the closing minutes of a half in which they had barely 30 per cent of the possession.

Despite not adding to the scoreline any further, Chelsea maintained their stranglehold on the game, with only substitute Djibril Cisse having a worthy effort on goal in the second half, and his strike went wide of the mark.

FC Liverpool are the new leaders in the Premiership following a 0-1 victory at Chelsea on Sunday.

Liverpool's victory makes an end to a 86-game unbeaten streak at Stamford Bridge, as Arsenal were the last side to beat the Blues at their own ground in February 2004.

Liverpool, despite the absence of star striker Fernando Torres, were the stronger side throughout most of the match and needed only ten minutes to take the lead through Xabi Alonso.

The Spaniard almost got a second after the interval but had a free kick bounce off the right post.

Liverpool now lead with 23 points from nine games, and Chelsea share the second place with Premiership revelations Hull City. Both have 20 points.

Manchester City new boy Robinho told Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon he would "rather be a travelling salesman" than remain at the Bernabeu, the Brazilian's agent has revealed.

The 24-year-old joined the Eastlands club in a shock deadline-day move having looked set for a transfer to Chelsea after being unsettled at Madrid ever since he was linked with a swap move with Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo at the beginning of the summer.

His agent Wagner Ribeiro told Brazilian radio station Jovem Pan: "He (Calderon) said that there was no way Robinho would leave the club. Robinho said, 'I do not want to stay. I would rather be a travelling salesman, sell cakes in the fair, than remain at the club'. He told that to Calderon."

Ribeiro added: "From that point, after he spoke to the president and the press, everyone turned against him.

"He continued to insist that he didn't want to stay and we thought about going for article 17 [and buying out the rest of his contract]."

Ribeiro added: "He didn't feel valued at Real Madrid anymore, he felt looked down upon. Why should Real Madrid only try hard to renew his contract after Cristiano Ronaldo said he was not going to leave United?

"Robinho's pride was hurt and for that reason no amount of money would have made him stay. He said that even if they paid him double he would not renew his contract."

Dimitar Berbatov has signed a four-year deal with Manchester United.

One of the summer's longest-running transfers was finally concluded tonight, with Fraizer Campbell going to Tottenham in a year-long loan.

United have not confirmed how much they have paid for the 27-year-old but Tottenham confirmed they had agreed a fee of £30.75million.

As part of the deal, Tottenham have agreed not to pursue a complaint against United for making an illegal approach to the player.

Sir Alex Ferguson was delighted after finally getting his man.

"This is a key signing," the United boss told www.manutd.com.

"Dimitar is one of the best and most exciting strikers in world football.

"His style and ability will give the team a different dimension and I am sure he will be a popular player with the fans."

Berbatov says he's now looking forward to becoming a United legend.

Ferguson believes Berbatov has the quality to score goals himself and create chances for others.

Shaun Wright-Phillips paid off the first instalment of his transfer fee with a double to ease Manchester City to a 3-0 victory at Sunderland.

The England international struck five minutes after the break and then again with 58 minutes gone to kill off the woeful Black Cats in Sunday's Premier League clash at the Stadium of Light.

Stephen Ireland had opened the scoring in first-half injury time and the home side never looked like dragging themselves back into the game.

Grant Leadbitter had come closest to breaking the deadlock for Roy Keane's men in the first half when he fired wide after seven minutes and then sent a dipping free-kick just over the bar 12 minutes later.

But Ireland was to give City the advantage at the break when he side-footed home from close range after the Black Cats had failed to deal with Michael Johnson's right-wing cross.

And soon after the restart, Johnson slipped the ball to Jo on the left side of the penalty area, and his firm low cross allowed Wright-Phillips to side-foot into the empty net with the home defence in tatters.

The game was effectively over within three minutes when Wright-Phillips ran on to Michael Ball's ball over the top and lifted a shot over the advancing Craig Gordon and into the net, with Phil Bardsley's efforts to clear proving in vain.

The Manchester United forward was pictured jogging at the club's training base on Friday following an ankle operation this summer.

United manager Sir Alex Ferguson had hoped to welcome Ronaldo back in early October, but a report in today's Sun claims the Portuguese winger is still 12 weeks away from a competitive return.

Having spent the summer fighting off Real Madrid's pursuit of Ronaldo, his continued absence is a significant setback for Ferguson, who was also without Carlos Tevez for the opening game of the season against Newcastle.

Ferguson insists he will place no pressure on Ronaldo to return before he is ready.

"If a player is out for a certain period there is no point rushing it," said Ferguson.

"You may as well wait the extra week or two to make sure they don't suffer any setbacks.

"Sometimes the age of a player helps with their recovery.Cristiano may get back quicker. But we are not putting him under any pressure.

Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo are to hold contract talks next week, Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon said on Wednesday, adding he is still willing to splash out on the Portuguese star.

"If after this talk Manchester decide to sell him, it is clear that Real Madrid will be in the running," Calderon told the Spanish sports daily AS.

"We have stable accounts that could enable us to make an operation of this calibre," he said.

Calderon insisted it was contractual problems between United and the player that stood in the way of Ronaldo completing his dream move to Bernabeu, adding that Real had been a "spectator in the comedy" between the two parties.

"We want Cristiano for his qualities, but there is a contractual problem between Manchester and the player that must the resolved - the problem is not with us," he said.

The Spanish champions have long been linked with a big money move for the 23-year-old, with reports suggesting the price tag could be 85 million euros (134 million US dollars).

The England midfielder is set to return to first team action against Odense at Villa Park today in the InterToto Cup third round second leg for the first time since he demanded a move to Anfield.

Manchester United and England striker Wayne Rooney's patchy form is a result of United's tactics according to his manager Alex Ferguson.

"I have to take a bit of responsibility for it," Ferguson was quoted as saying in The Times on Wednesday.

In recent campaigns United have often played Rooney out of position to accommodate the influential Cristiano Ronaldo.

While Ferguson's tactics are largely responsible for the meteoric rise of Ronaldo, Rooney's lack of opportunity to play through the middle has effected his form.

"I think his best position is through the middle, either a front role or tucking in just behind," Ferguson added.

"He's sacrificed himself and never complained about it, which says a lot for the lad. He will score goals... We need to define his role better."

Rooney, 22, signed from Everton for 26 million pounds in 2004 and he has gone on to score 77 goals, 18 of those coming last season.

"Some players know what their best position is and they don't want to challenge themselves in any other one, but Wayne would play centre half (if he was asked to)."

Rooney's chance to secure a more central role may come sooner rather than later as Ferguson will be without Real Madrid target Ronaldo for at least three months as the Portuguese 23-year-old recovers from ankle surgery.

KAKA has set his heart on a shock transfer to Chelsea, according to his advisor.

It was reported this morning that the FIFA World Player of the Year was the subject of discussions between the Barclays Premier League club and the Brazilian's current employers, AC Milan, this week.

The Italians secured the signing of the 26-year-old's international team-mate Ronaldinho on Wednesday despite their well-publicised financial difficulties, and Kaka's personal assistant Diogo Kotscho is adamant all parties involved now want the deal to go through.

If it did, Kaka would be reunited with Blues manager Luiz Felipe Scolari who handed him a Brazil debut in 2002 at the age of 20, and then included him in the squad that went on to win the World Cup that year.

"Real Madrid offered 90 million euros (£71m) last summer and Milan did not even think about the bid," Kotscho said.

"This time is different. This is the first time we feel that a deal will definitely happen.

"Because of the situation Milan are in at the moment, the deal is good for all parties involved."

Robinho has claimed it would be a "dream" to work with Luiz Felipe Scolari after Chelsea were linked with a move for the Brazilian.

Recent reports suggest that the Brazilian international would cost the Blues around £48million, a fee which is likely to put the west London club off. Tuesday's Guardian claimed Real Madrid are considering a bid of 60million euros (£48million) from the Blues.

However, it is also believed that Robinho is high on Scolari's wish-list, and the 24-year-old is delighted at the prospect of playing for the former Portugal coach. Robinho said: "It would be a dream for me to work with Luiz Felipe Scolari, who is one of the best coaches in the world.

"I have always spoken highly of him and he has always spoken very highly of me, since well before he was at Chelsea. "In 2003, when I was unknown in Europe, he called me to play in a charity match. It was brief but it was enough for me to see his style and character."

Robinho's agent has suggested anger at Real's conduct in trying to include him in a deal that would see them sign Cristiano Ronaldo could drive him away. Guys, finally Peter Crouch has completed his move to Portsmouth for a fee believed to exceed £11m. The England international striker has left Liverpool in search of regular first-team football after three seasons on Merseyside. This is his second spell on the south coast having scored 19 goals in 39 games for Pompey in 2001-2.

I quote from a online paper "It's fantastic to be back and the club is going places," Crouch said on reuniting with Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp, who he played for during his previous spell at the club and when at Southampton in 2004-05. Chelsea have officially addressed the speculation surrounding Frank Lampard's future, ruling out any possibility of a sale...

Months of speculation surrounding the England internatonal's midfielder has heightened in recent weeks as Jose Mourinho, formerly Blues boss, took over Internazionale.

The rumourmill wrote that the Special One would aim to bring Lampard with him to San Siro, but the man himself later said it would not be possible, but that next season he was almost certain they would reunite.

Nevertheless, speculation continued and rumoured bids inbetween £6-7 million were quoted by various sources, with the player himself quoted to being unsure on his future .

There were even stories of an accepted bid and imminent signing, but Chelsea have put all this talk to bed with an official statement.

The statement read: "Chelsea Football Club can confirm it has received an official approach from Internazionale to discuss the possible transfer of Frank Lampard. Contrary to reports no financial offer was made.

"Chelsea FC has informed Inter this morning (Tuesday, July 8) that we will not enter into any discussions regarding the transfer of Frank Lampard."

It would now be up to the player himself to request a transfer for any move to take place this summer, but new coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has revealed that the player has told him he is staying at Stamford Bridge and is happy to do so for many years, possibly ending Mourinho's hopes of signing him next summer.

”I met Frank Lamaprd and we spoke for 15 minutes and I came away happy,” Scolari said in his first press conference.

”I asked him if he was staying at Chelsea and he said ‘yes’, he wants to stay for many years.

"I think Lampard will be with us for more than one year."

Chelsea star Didier Drogba would consider a move to Real Madrid, according to the striker's agent.

Drogba has been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, despite the Ivory Coast international claiming he does not want to leave the Blues.

Drogba's agent Pierre Frelot has reiterated that the former Marseille man is happy at Chelsea, but has hinted that he could be interested in a move to Real.

"Why Not," Frelot said in the Daily Mirror when asked about the possibility of Drogba moving to the Bernabeu.

"Didier is calm because he is at a great club like Chelsea, but Real Madrid are also a great club."

Chelsea are reportedly chasing Real Madrid's Brazilian international Robinho and the news could open up a possible swap deal for Drogba.

Samuel Eto'o's agent Jose Maria Mesalles has denied that a deal has been agreed with Arsenal for the permanent move of the Cameroon international striker from Barcelona.

THE Portuguese Football Federation have lashed out at Chelsea for announcing during Euro 2008 that Luiz Felipe Scolari had accepted an offer to coach the Barclays Premier League side.

FPF president Gilberto Madail addressed the media this morning following his team's elimination from the European Championship at the hands of Germany last night, and believes the timing of the announcement of Scolari's impending departure had a destabilising effect.

"It wasn't the best moment for us for Chelsea to announce Scolari's appointment," said Madail. "I know Scolari had nothing to do with it and I was surprised, not by the appointment – because Scolari is a great coach – but at the timing chosen. I wish Chelsea would have consulted us before so that we could have chosen a better time."

Madail conceded that Scolari's departure was inevitable. "I knew when we entered the tournament that Scolari would leave," he said.

"We respected his wishes. His cycle with Portugal had ended because he wanted a new experience with a club. There was nothing we could do."

Leaving the competition at the quarter-final stage was a huge disappointment for Portugal, who had been one of the most exciting teams in the event. They had shown a lot of flair but ultimately came unstuck against a determined Germany. "I was very disappointed with the game yesterday," Madail said.

"Everyone saw Portugal is a strong squad. There is no way our elimination was fair but the result was fair on the night, Germany won 3-2 and we made mistakes and were made to pay."

Now Portugal have the difficult task of finding a replacement for Scolari. The Brazilian led them to the final of Euro 2004 and fourth place in the World Cup two years ago.

Portugal will now turn their attentions to qualifying for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and will announce next month who will succeed Scolari.

Madail added: "Whether some like it or not, he (Scolari) left a mark in Portuguese football. He is a spectacular coach who made a huge impact and that will remain in the history of Portugal. But life continues.

"The new coach will have to speak Portuguese but not necessarily be Portuguese. He has to have ambition and be a winner. He has to be someone who the players respect."

Kaka rejects Chelsea move

AC MILAN superstar Kaka has ruled out a reunion with Big Phil Scolari at Chelsea.

The striker worked under the new Blues boss when Brazil won the World Cup in 2002.

But the FIFA World Player of the Year insists he is happy at AC, despite their failure to qualify for next season's Champions League.

Kaka said: "I appreciate Chelsea's reported interest but I have not got the slightest desire to leave Milan.

"The only way today to leave Milan would be if Milan want to sell me.

"But, from what I've seen, it seems difficult."

Ronaldinho's brother and agent, Roberto de Assis, has hinted at the possibility of the Barcelona forward linking up with Luiz Felipe Scolari at Chelsea.

Scolari, the current Portugal coach, was on Wednesday announced as the new Blues boss to take the helm after the Euro 2008 campaign on 1st July.

The two-time Fifa World Player of the Year is expected to exit Barca this summer, and Manchester City were recently permitted to open talks with the star.

With Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou away on national duty, and Andriy Shevchenko injured, Chelsea boss Avram Grant was running out of options to boost his squad's artillery. Shevchenko and Claudio Pizzaro, their other senior forward, have scored just five Premier League goals between them this season. While the 28-year-old forward Anelka has netted 11 goals in 22 appearances with Bolton so far this season.

A statement on Chelsea's official website read: "Chelsea Football Club and Bolton Wanderers can confirm that terms have been agreed between the clubs for the transfer of Nicolas Anelka." Some reports says that The French forward has signed a three and half year while some report says he penned a four-and-a-half year deal at Stamford Bridge.

Anyway while we will seek his "power and ability" he did made a pledge to the people as i quote he says to the Chelsea website:

The company itself didn't pay money to make sure their domain secured for years and as a result, their unresponsible act has made my visitor reduced by 50% yesterday. I search the whole web for their apology and explaination since their web is still cannot be access and finally i found out they have setup a temporary blog and of course on a FREE DOMAIN blog like i do and trying hard to explain to their angry publisher (including me of course). Stupid Barton charged with assault, refused bail, spends New Year in jail!

Morning, noon, evening guys / gals where ever you are, i think this news will be quite awesome though the guy in the picture is a moron. Who does he think he is? A legendary footballer who can't be caught by the policemen or maybe he is so desperate to be somebody from a hot series "Heroes" who can blow somebody head by just blinking his eyes?

This troubled Newcastle midfielder name Joey The Moron Barton has been refused bail and will be remanded in custody until January 3 after being charged with common assault and affray by Merseyside Police. Barton, whose career has been dogged by disciplinary problems, is currently sidelined with an ankle injury though i think the real injury is in his head.

Barton's arrest is the latest in a long line of disciplinary problems. He was released on bail after allegedly attacking former Manchester City team-mate Ousmane Dabo on the training ground in May, while he was fined six weeks wages in 2004 for putting a lit cigar into the eye of a young team-mate, Jamie Tandy, at City's Christmas party. In July 2005, Barton was sent home from Manchester City's tour of Thailand after a bar fight with a teenage Everton fan.

Barton, who grew up in the Liverpool suburb of Huyton, is believed to have traveled to the city for a night out. The court was told he and a group of friends were allegedly involved in two separate incidents following a row with another group inside a McDonald's restaurant in Church Street, Liverpool. The victims of the alleged assault were not said to be seriously hurt and did not require hospital treatment.

Barton has worked with the Sporting Chance Clinic, the charity established by Tony Adams, the former England captain, to deal with his problems. But his latest dalliance with adverse publicity is likely to be an embarrassment for a club attempting to reinvent itself and could be interpreted as another dent to Sam Allardyce, the Newcastle United manager’s, authority.

The player had sat through the hearing, still wearing his black shirt and jumper from Boxing Day night, with his head bowed and hidden from the press and public gallery. Magistrate Carol Myers told Liverpool Magistrates' Court there was a risk of Barton offending again, adding: "I also have to consider the safety of the public - you lashed out indiscriminately."

I was so sleepy last night but i have to stay awake since the lost to Arsenal last weekend has made my sweetdream became a nightmare. The stay-up was worth it when a fast entertaining game was played and what make it tastes better was when Shevchenko score at the dying minute after being "dead" for about 89th minute on the pitch.

Something funny happened when the linesman has to be replaced before the game even started because of hamstring injury or what Malaysian people always refer as "cramp" :)

The reality is José Mourinho may have left London, but the bad blood between Chelsea and Liverpool shows no signs of disappearing after Chelsea booked their place in the Carling Cup semi-finals courtesy of an ill-tempered win last night.

Certainly the occasion which commemorates the sacrifice of Abraham (P) and his son Ishmael (P) is a more benign and noble tradition as compared to the “blood sacrifice” [the pagan imagery] of a half-naked man-god who died humiliatingly swinging from a Roman cross. May Allah give victory to our Deen and wipe out that Trinitarian religion in the foreseeable future, insha’allah.

What is Eid ul-Adha?

At the end of the Hajj (annual pilgrimage to Mecca), Muslims throughout the world celebrate the holiday of Eid al-Adha (Festival of Sacrifice). In 2007, Eid al-Adha will begin on approximately December 20th, and will last for three days.

What does Eid al-Adha commemorate?

During the Hajj, Muslims remember and commemorate the trials and triumphs of the Prophet Abraham. The Qur’an describes Abraham as follows:

“Surely Abraham was an example, obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the polytheists. He was grateful for Our bounties. We chose him and guided him unto a right path. We gave him good in this world, and in the next he will most surely be among the righteous.” (Qur’an 16:120-121)

One of Abraham’s main trials was to face the command of Allah to kill his only son. Upon hearing this command, he prepared to submit to Allah’s will. When he was all prepared to do it, Allah revealed to him that his “sacrifice” had already been fulfilled. He had shown that his love for his Lord superseded all others, that he would lay down his own life or the lives of those dear to him in order to submit to God.

Why do Muslims sacrifice an animal on this day?

During the celebration of Eid al-Adha, Muslims commemorate and remember Abraham’s trials, by themselves slaughtering an animal such as a sheep, camel, or goat. This action is very often misunderstood by those outside the faith. Allah has given us power over animals and allowed us to eat meat, but only if we pronounce His name at the solemn act of taking life. Muslims slaughter animals in the same way throughout the year. By saying the name of Allah at the time of slaughter, we are reminded that life is sacred.

The meat from the sacrifice of Eid al-Adha is mostly given away to others. One-third is eaten by immediate family and relatives, one-third is given away to friends, and one-third is donated to the poor. The act symbolizes our willingness to give up things that are of benefit to us or close to our hearts, in order to follow Allah’s commands.

It also symbolizes our willingness to give up some of our own bounties, in order to strengthen ties of friendship and help those who are in need. We recognize that all blessings come from Allah, and we should open our hearts and share with others.

It is very important to understand that the sacrifice itself, as practiced by Muslims, has nothing to do with atoning for our sins or using the blood to wash ourselves from sin. This is a misunderstanding by those of previous generations:

“It is not their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah; it is your piety that reaches Him.” (Qur’an 22:37)

The symbolism is in the attitude — a willingness to make sacrifices in our lives in order to stay on the Straight Path. Each of us makes small sacrifices, giving up things that are fun or important to us. A true Muslim, one who submits his or herself completely to the Lord, is willing to follow Allah’s commands completely and obediently. It is this strength of heart, purity in faith, and willing obedience that our Lord desires from us.

What else do Muslims do to celebrate the holiday?

On the first morning of Eid al-Adha, Muslims around the world attend morning prayers at their local mosques. Prayers are followed by visits with family and friends, and the exchange of greetings and gifts. At some point, members of the family will visit a local farm or otherwise will make arrangements for the slaughter of an animal. The meat is distributed during the days of the holiday or shortly thereafter.

Back After Couple of Weeks When "The Big Four" Ready For Showdown!

I'm back! but yes, after couple of weeks, so sorry guys. But the good news is, it's "Big Four weekend" in the English Premier League. In two mouth-watering clashes, Liverpool will hosts Manchester United while Chelsea visiting Arsenal immediately after the Liverpool-United game, it promises to be an important day in the battle for domestic supremacy. Arsenal will hosts Chelsea on clash of the the titans this exciting Sunday.

The English Premiership title race was blown wide open last weekend as Arsenal lost for the first time after 22 domestic matches at Middlesbrough FC this season. Earlier in the weekend, Liverpool also lost for the first time this season while United and Chelsea enjoyed routine wins.

Manchester United will enter the most intense cauldron they will experience all season on Sunday with the trip to Liverpool will be a perfect time for Red Devils to flex their title muscles. While the Merseysiders may not have won the championship for approaching two decades, that run has done nothing to diminish the rivalry between the two. If anything, it has intensified, even though United hardly challenged Liverpool during their own dominance.

Arsenal was not able to beat Chelsea since February 2004 and of course you know while The Special One Mr Maurinho was still the manager then, but the golden boy Robin Van Persie has a different opinion this time when he believes champions Manchester United pose a bigger threat to Arsenal's hopes of regaining the Premier League title than Chelsea.

Avram Grant faced a difficult transition after Mourinho's departure. After a baptism of fire against Manchester United in his first game as coach, Chelsea has not lost in 15 matches (in all competitions.) That stingy defense is back—one goal in the last nine Premiership contests. It's a mystery why Grant is always scowling on the sidelines…

Dutchman Van Persie, who has recently returned from a long-term knee injury, insists a win for Arsenal is vital if the Gunners are to remain in the hunt for the title they last won in 2004.

This season, Arsenal has an impressive 7–1–0 (wins–draws–losses) home record while Chelsea has a respectable 5–1–2 road record. But what this game could come down to is Chelsea's ability to execute the successful plan crafted by Arsenal's last three opponents and Arsenal's continued lack of creativity in the midfield due to injuries.

Certainly, the injury situation is also problematic for Chelsea. With star striker Didier Drogba just having knee surgery, Arsenal's central defenders can breathe a little easier. Andriy Shevchenko will now get his chance to shine yet again.

Well, no matter who you root for in the "beautiful game," you have to pay some attention to what will go on in England this Sunday. The "Big Four" have proven to be in a class of their own in the Premier League, taking the top four places in three of the last four seasons.

Mourinho Hypocrisy!

People annoy me, they really do. Cast your mind back 12 months. Jose Mourinho was the epitome of everything that was wrong with the modern game, that he is arrogant, smug, over-confident and disrespectful. He was booed non-stop and everybody hated him. Chants of 'F*ck off Mourinho' cascaded down from the stands.

Opposition fans despised him and told us the reason they hated us was because of him. The press launched hatchet-job after hatchet-job designed to unsettle and disturb him and by the end of his time with us the knives were out in a big way.

Referees, managers, players and pundits were all united in their dislike for the Portuguese, with an honest few accepting that he was a talented manager, but eventually agreeing with the rest that he was an arrogant pig and that he should not be allowed to get up to the petty mind games and mud-slinging that brings the game into disrepute.

Anyone not following Chelsea absolutely hated him. The press greeted Man United's title win with massive glee and cheer not because United had won it but because the hated Mourinho hadn't. In short - he was the walking embodiment of everyone's bitterness and hatred of Chelsea and of people who are the very top of their profession.

The people of this fine nation we live in cannot accept success. You just cannot stand him can you? Especially when Jose Mourinho is smarter, better looking, funnier, has women going weak at the knees over him, is already one of the all time great football managers, has won everything going, and is considerably better paid than you.

Considerably better paid. Fast-forward to the present. Jose has left Chelsea and now he is everyone's favourite, the people's choice no less, for the England job, recently vacated by the haplessly hopeless Steve McLaren. Suddenly everyone forgets all the spittle, bile, abuse, slander, vitriol and mis-reporting.

Suddenly everyone forgets that he was the epitome of all that is wrong with football. Suddenly everyone forgets how much they hated him because they want him to be a good manager for England. Then you have the Liverpool fans who were certainly the most vocal in their abuse and hatred of Jose, all now desperate to get him in to replace the hopelessly hapless Rafa Benitez.

The hypocracy of this country never fails to astound me.

2007, Sir Alex Ferguson loses it at Nicolas Anelka - since 1978

I was on my laptop when a friend of mine send me an sms thanking Nicolas Anelka for which ever reason i thought this weekend is just like another ordinary weekend when the big four will just slip the winning easily. I was busy chatting at my new shout out widget (deep down there, you guys should install this widget from Penang-penang) and i was shocked when Andy Pender at ESPN announce the results for last night games.

The story begin when Sir Alex Ferguson was banished to the stands at the Reebok Stadium for the second half of yesterday's Premier League match for telling referee Mark Clattenburg what he thought of him. The Manchester United manager then had to endure a frustrating 45 minutes watching his side slip to only their second league defeat of the season against a team who were third from bottom at the start of the day.

Ferguson felt his players were victims of some rough tactics from Bolton and became involved in a heated exchange with the referee in a tunnel outburst. The 1-0 reverse at the Reebok has been the first defeat since August and it understandably left Fergie fuming. He was particularly disappointed with Clattenburg who did not do enough to stop Bolton kicking United players off the park.

The Bolton boss Gary Megson's who was enjoying his first win since taking charge was enough to lift his side out of the relegation zone. Bolton went on to enjoy the better of possession for much of the game, but the hosts failed to convert that superiority into real goal scoring chances.

It was his man of the match Nicolas Anelka who slotted home Ivan Campo's free-kick after 11 minutes. Campo's chipped free-kick set up the goal with Pique mis-timing his leap leaving Anelka unmarked with the ball in front of goal. Anelka did little else bar score, but his firepower is precious to Bolton, who have relied on him for seven of their 12 league goals.

United, who had not tasted defeat in the league since an away loss to Manchester City whereas that same month marked Bolton's only win in the Premier League - 3-0 against Reading. , are now three points behind leaders Arsenal who also have a game in hand. Despite the result, United remain in second place, but coupled with wins for Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool, it was hardly an ideal return to domestic action for the champions.

Meanwhile, Ferguson who recently has revealed his admiration for the Frenchman Anelka could now find himself in trouble with the Football Association, not so much for his finger-wagging at the referee whom he followed down the tunnel at half-time but for what he said afterwards. Ferguson had to settle for the sight of his side losing at Bolton for the first time since December 1978.

Err... 1978?? is it?? Wahh.. The Trotters will definately celebrate a party after 29 years of losing football against the mighty Devils. Viva Anelkahh!!

Steve McLaren and Terry Venables SACKED! England R.I.P

Guys, we all know the results already, and the latest news is England have sacked coach Steve McClaren following their humiliating failure to qualify for Euro 2008. McClaren was shown the door after an emergency meeting of the English Football Association (FA) in London on this morning.

I was quite suprised actually when this loser refused to resign immediately after last night's humiliating defeat, but it appeared only a matter of time before he was sacked. His assistant Terry Venables has also had his contract terminated. It was the first time since 1994 that England had failed to qualify for the finals of a major tournament.

And finally, Croatia skipper Niko Kovac has rubbed salt into England's wounds by claiming: "It was easy to beat you!!" (England).

I rest my case...

Do or Die Mission For England!

I can't wait to watch this live match. I was quite sceptical actually if England can make it to EURO's. But with the Israeli wins over Russia suddenly, with a single bound, Steve McClaren was free from the chains of public ridicule and private doubt. The terror of failing to qualify for Euro 2008 has receded but Steve McClaren must instil healthy fear in his players before Wednesday's game with Croatia at Wembley, from which England need only a point.

The England team has made things difficult for them by dropping points early on in the group but McClaren says England will try to beat Croatia on Wednesday rather than play safe and seek the draw which would see them qualify for Euro 2008.

England need at least a point from the game against Croatia to secure a berth at next summer's Euro 2008 finals in Austria and Switzerland. Owen's absence is a major setback, especially with Wayne Rooney already being ruled out with an ankle injury. McClaren is also without captain John Terry with a knee problem and fellow centre-back Rio Ferdinand, who is suspended. Phewww...

While the good news is Tottenham striker Darren Bent has been drafted into the England squad for the final Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia on Wednesday night. (He is quite good sometime, let's see if he can delievered the task when England need him most) He comes into the squad after Michael Owen was ruled out by a thigh strain suffered in the friendly victory over Austria on Friday.

Peter Crouch appears set to lead the line for England but Bent's arrival gives McClaren an extra option with forward Jermain Defoe also competing for a starting place. Also back in the squad is Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves after the former Bayern Munich man overcame tendinitis. (What is that?? Nothing to do with penis or tits isn't it? haha!)

The worry is recalling the error-prone Robinson for a game of such importance, but it's also asking an awful lot of Carson to make Croatia on Wednesday his first competitive appearance. Especially when he had so little to do against Austria on Friday. Imagine if he made the mistake that cost England a tournament. Imagine the reaction, however, if Robinson makes another blunder, but the more likely scenario will see the Tottenham keeper return. Gegegege..

Although qualification is the key, McClaren regards the Croatia match as a night to unify everyone. It may, too, create a more stirring atmosphere than has yet been witnessed at the new Wembley. A manager whose future was in grave doubt until Saturday night can now deliver a rallying call. Israel's win truly has had extraordinary consequences. McClaren admitted England have nowhere to hide after they were handed the unexpected reprieve. He said "I think the feeling is we've got a great chance now, it's up to us, there are no excuses."

With the vindictiveness of all mediocrities, will the England manager taste the glory in the truly discomfort of Guus Hiddink? After all, what they need just a decent draw.... (sigh)

Peter Crouch On Target and For Sale

Hai guys, no EPL game this weekend but the England fans are worried about their team after a thigh injury to Michel Owen on England 1-0 victory over Austria last night. The Liverpool striker Peter Crouch scored the winning goal as they eased past on that friendly games. But the main news i about to highlight is Liverpool coach Rafael Benitez is ready to offload striker Peter Crouch for the best available price in the January transfer window.

I read that Rafael Benitez has been told he has to sell before he can buy more players for Liverpool – with Aston Villa hoping to sign both Peter Crouch and Scott Carson in the January transfer window.

There has been some talk of friction within the Liverpool camp, and claims that Crouch has an attitude problem, but these are wide of the mark. It is thought that Crouch's claim change of attitute this season has angered Benitez, who in turn is now prepared to sell the England international for a fee in excess of £10 million. It has been claimed that Crouch's work ethic in training has been affected by his status as an England player.

Benitez himself has rejected such suggestions and, even though he has used Crouch, who remains extremely popular with Liverpool fans, sparingly he said recently:

"He's a nice boy, a good professional, a good players. It is clear that this team now, with four strikers, creates more competition for places, but I don't have any problems because Crouch is a good player."

O Really? What a sweet talker because i think Benitez has limited Crouch to a bit-part role this season having recruited Fernando Torres and Andriy Voronin during the summer. It's also a clear sign that Benitez got his calculations wrong during the summer while selling two English players and buying another foreigner will only add more fuel to the growing debate over quotas – especially as the Liverpool captain, Steven Gerrard, has already expressed his concern.

Crouch's future at Anfield has been the topic of hot debate this season with the former Southampton striker repeatedly linked with a move to rival Premier League clubs.

Although i am not a fan of this weird looking striker, Crouch has made himself prospered since Liverpool beat West Ham to his signature two years ago with a £7m move from Southampton, winning 23 caps for England and scoring 12 goals for his country.

He has undoubtedly fallen down the pecking order of strikers with the arrival of Torres and Dirk Kuyt. Crouch's goalscoring record at international level has earned him a large fanbase and the player is set to win his 23rd and 24th caps in England's friendly with Austria tonight and their potentially crucial Euro 2008 qualifer against Croatia next week.

It seems certain that his departure is driven mainly by economic reasons, given Liverpool's high spending under Benitez who is now afraid of not winning any cup this season, will now use Babel more in his preferred position as a central striker rather than seek a replacement for Crouch. Well, Mr Crouch, all the best. And i just wondering if a switch with Dimitar Berbatov might a good option maybe?

Peter Cech Keen On Chelsea Barcelona Switch

Heyy all the blues guy, Petr Cech has rocked Chelsea by admitting he is tempted by the prospect of a move to Barcelona despite being "very happy" at Stamford Bridge!!! Cech for Ronaldinho??

It is scary when the 25-year-old, who expects to be out for another month with a calf injury, has revealed he would consider a switch to the Nou Camp. My number 1 Cech, who kept five successive clean sheets before his recent injury, is considered one of the best keepers around, having joined Chelsea from Rennes in a £7million deal during the summer of 2004.

He said: "So far I have been very happy at Chelsea and I love the Premier League. But in the case of Barcelona showing interest, yes, certainly it would be worth considering."

Considering??? No NO NOO! Don't ever think to consider or even think to "think" about moving from Chelsea. Argg..

Cech was one of former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho’s closest allies and he admits the Blues are still recovering from his shock exit. Fans Go On Rampage After Police Killing In Italy!

We begin this week with a sad story. Italian football authorities called emergency meetings Monday after a day of rampages sparked by the police killing of a fan. Hundreds of fans angry over the shooting death of a Lazio fan raided the headquarters of the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) in Rome on Sunday night.

It all begins when a police officer accidentally shot and killed a Lazio soccer fan while trying to quell a clash with Juventus supporters at a highway rest stop in Tuscany near Arezzo. Gabriele Sandri, a 26-year-old DJ and clothes shop owner from Rome, died after getting hit in the neck by a bullet while sitting in a car when the policeman fired a warning shot to disperse a clash on Sunday.

An earlier police statement said the officer had fired both shots in the air however the 31-year-old policeman, who was not named, said the shot went off accidentally as he was running, just seconds after firing a warning round in the air, a newspaper reported.

"I was not aiming anywhere, I was not pointing at anyone,"

The officer told Corriere della Sera newspaper, adding that he was at least 200 metres (yards) away from Sandri who was in a car at the rest area.

"The first shot I fired in the air and the second went off as I was running. What a fool. Now I know what happened, I am devastated."

"Now I have destroyed two families, that of this boy and mine," added the officer.

Hours later in Rome, enraged fans rioted, attacking a police station near the Stadio Olimpico. Hundreds of youths dragged metal barricades and trash bins to block off one end of a bridge spanning the Tiber near the stadium. They stormed the yard of a police station when a gate was opened for a shift change of squad cars, hurled stones at passing police cars and smashed windows in an attack of the nearby Italian Olympic Committee headquarters near the stadium.

In Milan, hundreds of Lazio fans threw rocks at a police station in protest at the shooting and marched towards the city centre shouting "Assassins!" at security forces. While In Bergamo, Atalanta fans clashed with police before their game against AC Milan, forcing the referee to halt play seven minutes after kick-off.

Italian football authorities called emergency meetings Monday after a day of rampages sparked by the police killing of a fan. Sandri's death forced the suspension of three Serie A matches as clashes erupted in Rome, Milan and other cities.

The critical situation has also forced the Italian government held an emergency meeting on Monday after it has sparked riots by supporters across the country. The government also created an independent body, L'Osservatorio nazionale sulle manifestazione sportive, to clamp down on football violence and gave it powers to call games off or ban fans from attending.

To date, Italian authorities has detained four people accused of taking part in riots. Italian Premier Romano Prodi was attending Mass when he was informed about the death. He described the fan violence as "very worrisome" and later issued a statement saying he has ordered that the shooting be thoroughly investigated. Last season, a policeman was killed in riots following a game between Palermo and Catania in Sicily.

This former England Captain David Beckham has been recalled to the England squad for the potentially decisive Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia. Failure to achieve a result in Wednesday’s clash will mean that England will be out of the tournament next summer.

England are reliant on Russia failing to beat Israel and then earning a victory against Croatia four days later in order to qualify ofr Euro 2008. If Russia win in Israel on Nov 17, however, England cannot qualify for the tournament, even if they beat Croatia. If that happened, we can start singing the "nanana" song to McLaren.

Beckham had missed England’s last four games with a knee injury but the LA Galaxy midfielder is back for next Friday’s friendly in Austria and the final Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia at Wembley the following Wednesday. He make returns after proving his fitness with LA Galaxy when McClaren flew to Los Angeles last week to consult with him.

Meanwhile, McClaren denied that Beckham's return was due more to his approaching 100 caps - he currently has 97 - than form.

"David Beckham is an important player for England, always has been, and he will be again," said McClaren. "It wasn't sentiment when we brought him back in the summer."

- O really? Maybe not for the caps but probably more for one who will be the "scapegoat". *sigh*

Beckham, whose international career stalled on 97 caps when he missed the Euro 2008 qualifying double-header against Estonia and Russia last month with knee ligament damage, is expected to play some part against Austria in a friendly in Vienna next Friday.

Beckham should win his 98th and 99th caps for his country in these two matches, but could be left stuck one short of a century if England fail to qualify for Euro 2008.

He is expected to returns to the midfield ranks together with Owen Hargreaves who has recovered from an early season injury and recently played 90 minutes at the Emirates Stadium.

Dimitar Berbatov is desperate to quit Tottenham

This is a good news for many England clubs which have short strikers. Dimitar Berbatov looks certain to leave Tottenham after his father revealed he is no longer happy at the club. His future at Tottenham Hotspur appears increasingly uncertain after Juande Ramos last night declared that he had no intention of keeping an unsettled player.

The Bulgaria striker's father was quoted as having said Berbatov was unhappy at Spurs and other sources said he would leave in January. His father Ivan last night told Bulgarian television: "My son doesn't feel happy at Tottenham any more and wants to leave."

Berbatov's future at White Hart Lane has remained in the balance ever since Spurs denied him a summer transfer to Manchester United. A close friend of Berbatov has said:

"Dimitar is telling everyone he doesn't want to stay and would like to leave in January. He feels he made a mistake in the summer by not asking the club to sell him when Manchester United were interested."

Berbatov appeared reluctant to warm up as a substitute against Newcastle. That incident and his body language has seen Berbatov criticised for being moody, particularly after Manchester United showed interest this summer but a move never materialised.

New Spurs boss Ramos does not want players in his squad who are not committed to the club and would be prepared to listen to offers. He will not attempt to block a transfer for Dimitar Berbatov if the striker wants to leave White Hart Lane in the January transfer window. If Berbatov does end up leaving, Ramos is likely to turn his attentions to his former striker at Sevilla and ex-Spurs player Fredi Kanoute.

Meanwhile in a latest development, Berbatov insists he is happy at Tottenham. And i quote Berbatov as saying;

“I want to let everyone know that I am a Tottenham Hotspur player, I love the club and everyone at the club. I don’t always smile so much but that does not make me a bad person. I don’t smile because we are near the bottom of the table and have not been playing well - I have not been playing well either. I just want to say that I am here, I am happy here and I will help the club in any way I can."

"The fans love the club and they have been behind me ever since my first game. I appreciate them the most and I want to tell them that I am not going anywhere. I have a contract and I will give my best, for now it is not going so well for me because all the writing in the papers has been messing with my head and I lost my concentration."

Attention Liverpool! Jose Maurinho Is Breathing On Rafa's Neck!

Err.. The question is: could Jose fanatics ermm or would Jose fanatics be the next Liverpool fans if Jose boot out Rafa Benitez at Anfield? Geee..

The Sunday Express says sources in Portugal close to Mourinho say he has added the Anfield giants to his short list of possible clubs to manage next. He has been keeping a close eye on the pressure slowly building on Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez. The source confirmed: "There's no question Liverpool is a club Jose would like to manage."

O O Guys! Jose Mourinho is interested in Rafa Benitez's job at Liverpool!! Smacking! But remember! Under his extremely generous severance terms with Chelsea, Mourinho cannot work in England until June and when he left Stamford Bridge in September, Mourinho insisted his next post would not be in England. He also said he would like to come to Malaysia, (but he did not so far.. :(

The Special One believes that taking over from Benitez could be the most attractive option open to him because:

Liverpool have the financial power to compete with Europe's elite.
The Kop are so fed up with the club's title drought that they would welcome the Special One.
It would make Roman Abramovich even more jealous of Liverpool.
Finally Jose can kick Benitez' a** with a proper black and white contract.

Nobody has yet told Benitez, though, because he is planning a £25million January transfer window spending spree (The People) even if Liverpool are knocked out of the Champions League. The way the US dollar is shrinking, he’ll be lucky to get 25 bob from the club’s Yankee owners.

Yesss!! it was 2-2 and classic. Gallas the formes Blues put it into the net at dying minutes after he had unwittingly opened the scoring by deflecting the ball into his own net in the 45th minute. Cristiano Ronaldo appeared to have given the visitors victory with an 81st minute strike but the Captain plundered an equaliser in added time to secure a precious point.

Level on points and goals scored going into the game, Arsenal and Manchester United remain locked together at the top of the table at 27 points after a compelling clash at the Emirates Stadium.

The draw leaves Arsenal and Manchester United still grappling tenaciously with one another, but it may be the superior point gap and the grip on the horse that is loosening. The home site, dominant in the first half, were perceptibly superior and Arsène Wenger's team must be conscious now of the obstacles in their path which look like an easy road for them for the past few weeks.

Please accept my apology for not updating this blog yesterday. I was sick and lie on my bed, sleeping and dreaming that the home team Arsenal will .... ewrr.. (loosing for the 1st time? or.. thrashing MU to their biggest ever defeat?)

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, every creature lives in this planet knows that tomorrow's game will be the top-of-the-table fixture which promises to be a mouth-watering 90 minutes, with both sides playing gorgeous free-flowing football at present. It's always a tough game and the rivalry means it will be a fantastic game.

Cesc Fabregas, Critiano Ronaldo, Emmanuel Adebayor , Carlos Tevev, Alexander Hleb, Wayne Rooney are those heavyweight i expect to live up to their history and reputation and will "die" in the battle tomorrow as heroes for their fans.

United's current form is blemish-free following their 4-1 demolition of Middlesbrough last week - a victory which made it eight consecutive wins in all competitions. "The Red Devils" are in the form of their season, having scored four goals in each of the last four matches. Though they started the season unable to score more than one goal per game, suddenly their attacking strengths are showing.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are unbeaten in 17 matches after coming through a pulsating tie at Anfield last week with a creditable draw. "The Gunners" are having the time of their lives at the top of the league, playing football as brilliant as Brazil but more importantly grinding out good results and registering points on the board.

This is definitely one of the games of the season. Both teams are in top form, and it is difficult to see which side will win. One thing is for sure, tempers will flare in this game. Every fixture between these sides has its story and I'm certain this will be no exception! As for the result, and for a very secret reason, and for the sake of the team intriguing them, I can only predict (more of hoping doh..) a draw, seeing as both sides are equally matched - though I am sure there will be some exciting explosive tremendous superbly scored goals.

This Ronaldinho transfer headline, as always an eye catcher. Ronaldinho or "Ronnie" might have problem with his game and the catalan's fans lately,(they booed him last Sunday) but to see him moving to another club is quite impossible especially in January.

However, the latest speculation from some credible sources states that Chelsea will go head to head with AC Milan in a race to sign the £70million Brazilian after Barcelona decided to place him on sale.

Besides that, Ronnie has a row with striker Samuel Eto’o and boss Frank Rijkaard. Recently his night life also was questioned by the club.

A top Nou Camp source said:

"Ronaldinho's period at Barcelona is coming to an end. It's no longer a question of if, but when they sell."

Some Directors are convinced Ronaldinho's best years are behind him and as he has only completed 90 minutes twice this season and are ready to cash in.

It is been reported that Chelsea agreed terms with Ronaldinho's brother Roberto Assis in August. Ronaldinho has a £85 million buy-out clause in his current contract.

Although Milan are also said to be preparing a £70millon bid to unite Ronaldinho with Brazil team-mates Kaka and Ronaldo, the Rossoneri may struggle to match the £11.6m-a-year salary that Chelsea are offering.

But despite the rumors and speculation, Barca Vice President adamant that the club are not looking to cash in on the 27-year-old. They have again stressed that Ronaldinho is not for sale.

Guys!! helooo!! yuhuuu, concentrate reading please. Ohhhh yeaaa.. i know what are you guys thinking about. But... sorry bro, they are for "display" only. LOL.

Ermm, i think Gallas is almost right when he believes Arsenal’s performance at Anfield on Sunday will have scared their title rivals. But, with Chelsea 6-0 win on Man.City, Gallas should know by then that Arsenal the Cup hunter is being huntered! Erm, who is suppose to scared now?

Meanwhile, Chelsea will hand Avram Grant a three years new deal as a reward for his promising start as Chelsea manager with a new three-year contract. On top of that the Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has granted Grant a mega bucks transfer kitty for the January market.

Speaking of payback, Darren Campbell took a very gratifying phone call on Saturday night as he holidayed with his family in Cyprus. It was from £31m Andrei Shevchenko, the Chelsea forward who has recently, and belatedly, begun to show he can run.

For the last six weeks (my goodness...) Campbell, who retired last summer after an athletics career which had seen him earn medals at every major championship, has been offering the beleaguered Ukrainian private sprint coaching. Liverpool Blown It Again!

Did anybody watch the Reds - Gunners "the battle of the unbeaten" game last night? Pity me, because I was so sleepy and afraid i couldn't make it on time to the office today, so i decided to dream away on my bed and let the sms do their job. Suprisingly! no sms! I went to the office half a secs slower than Kimi Raikonen (still a little bit late in the end) and rushingly googleing for the result, and finally whispering to myself ... "It's a ..... dissapointing Rafa Benitez again".

Poor Liverpool. They have just blown away a great chance to end Arsenal’s unbeaten start to the season.

I was told by a Liverpool-maniac here in my office that Liverpool were on track for victory after Steven Gerrard fired them into a seventh-minute lead but Arsenal’s had a "lucky goal". It was when Cesc Fabgregas equalised with 10 minutes left.

Hemm.. in a simple math, if Arsenal already got thier luck last night, Benitez surely have lost him for almost a month now. However, to be fair the merseyside club are also still unbeaten in the league this term, and their performance have done much in wiping away the misery of the midweek Champions League defeat against Besiktas last week.

I read it in BBC report that Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard says Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas can achieve anything in the game after his awesome display in the 1-1 draw at Anfield.

And i quote Gerrard's comment:

"The world is his oyster. He can go on to be one of the best in the world, there is no doubt about that, So far this season he is having a fantastic time. If he keeps working hard at his game and stays as dedicated as he has been so far, he can achieve anything."

Was he? Grrr... i should stay up and watch the game!

Meanwhile, i was hypnotized and somehow beleived the loss of Fernando Torres at half-time through injury had hit Liverpool’s chances of killing off the contest with a second goal. If and if Torres had stayed on The Reds might have been more dangerous. The spectator will surely love to see a Torres goal after Gerrard scored his. Agree? as i said .. i've been hypnotized by that same maniac again.

The 1-1 draw will probably be a result that appeases rather than pleases the two teams. Both sides came through the match unscathed in so far as their status as the only Premiership unbeatens is concerned and both delivered some answers to the questions that surrounded the two in the lead-up to this fixture.

Nonetheless, Arsenal proved they are more than capable of matching up against the big clubs and proved their early season tag of title hopefuls is more than justified. Next week it’s Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in a preview of the two sides who look the most likely at this stage to challenge for the title.

Arsene Wenger last night warned Sir Alex Ferguson that Arsenal are strong enough to dethrone Manchester United. While Liverpool i must say; eventhough they will never walk alone, i am surely feels that they're really in deep trouble now.

Chelsea Riot! "It Should be 10 - 0" - Well, 6-0 Is A Big Story Also Isn't It?

Haha! i think Grant would have smile and sleep with the ball they've played tonight after a smashing win over the expected record breaker Sven Goran Erickson team in Stamford Bridge. The terrific super game at Stamford Bridge has woken the Premier League up to the renewed threat of Chelsea, as the Blues hammer past a woeful City side.

Coach Avram Grant's promise of a more attacking Chelsea finally materialised as they sent Manchester City crashing to their biggest defeat of the season with a six-goal super show at Stamford Bridge. I just couldn't beleive my eyes when The Blues keep on scoring minute after minute and all the open chances they have made on Man City goal.

Ironically, it was City who had started the game in a more positive fashion and their improvement under former England coach Sven-Goran Eriksson, a man Chelsea once considered hiring as manager, was clearly evident.

It seems like Sven trying to hide his frustation and maintain his tactics eventhough at the time The Blues was leading by 4 goals to nil and keep bombarding the City's defence. The hosts dominated throughout the game and were 2-0 up at the break as Michael Essien and Drogba got on the end of passes from the outstanding Frank Lampard.

Drogba made it 3-0 when Lampard's shot was saved, before Joe Cole, Salomon Kalou and £30million striker Andriy Shevchenko netted an explosive goal. (The Darren Campbell sprinting session must have given a full impact to Mr Shevchenko?)

It was a thumping 6-0 result after a full 90 minutes and i saw Chelsea have take an advantage of a frightful defensive performance from Manchester City to help themselves to a biggest ever home win. It was the biggest win of the campaign - bigger than any they enjoyed under Jose Mourinho - and the manner in which they deconstructed a City team unbeaten in their last six outings was both stylish and impressive.

The win increased Chelsea's unbeaten run to seven games since they lost Grant's first outing in charge at Manchester United last month and it stretched their record to 68 home matches without defeat in the league.

This is totally a total demolition and humiliation to Man. City as they are dreaming for a top four finish after the game tonight.

Guys, please don't rule out Chelsea - yet!

Andriey "don't know how to run" Cenko has been given a coach hired by Chelsea. An Olympic relay gold medallist Darren Campbell will has to teach him how to put one foot in front of the other in quick succession. (You want to lough? dont! because it was reported by Independent newspaper and quote - "Chelsea have revolutionised their efforts to get the best out of £31m striker Andrei Shevchenko by employing the former British Olympic sprinter Darren Campbell to help the Ukrainian regain his explosive pace.") Explosive? Oh my God!

Sven Goran has try to bring back the morally down Shawn Wright Philips back to his old club. OOoo Chelsea, may you please release this boy, i don't know why in the 1st place Roman brought him to Stamford Bridge? Is it because he was asked by Maurinho? Or did he played "quite well" at Manchester City season before? nahhh... die and live back i will not beleive. Haha.

Sevilla coach and Tottenham coach to be, Juande Ramos has resigned from Sevilla. Ramos' Sevilla contract was due to expire at the end of the season and the Spanish club were fighting a losing battle to keep the highly-rated tactician. I guess, Spurs will play a good tactic from now on huh Jol?

Guys, eventhough i think it is a little bit late but Jol has done a pretty good job in Spurs last season, however things is not always pretty as ever in English Premier League ... and today Tottenham have confirmed the sacking of Martin Jol as manager following Thursday night's UEFA Cup defeat at home to Getafe.

Spurs have issued a statement revealing the board asked Jol and assistant Chris Hughton to stand down, although there were reports earlier in the evening that the Dutchman had resigned.

Chairman Daniel Levy said:

"For me, Martin and Chris' departure is regrettable.

"Our greatest wish was to see results turn in our favour and for there to be no need for change."

A statement from the club read:

"We can confirm that the board has this evening asked Martin Jol, club manager and Chris Hughton, first-team coach to stand down from their positions with immediate effect."

Jol added:

"I can understand the position of the club in light of the results. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Tottenham Hotspur is a special club and I want to thank the terrific staff and players.

"For me the fans were always amazing with their support so I would also like to say thank you - I shall never forget them."

Development coach Clive Allen and youth team boss Alex Inglethorpe will take charge of the first team for the time being, with Juande Ramos the overwhelming favourite to take over in the long term. Gus Poyet, the former Spurs midfielder, has been linked with an assistant-boss role.

Jol leaves a legacy of success at White Hart Lane after consecutive top-five finishes in his only full seasons at the club. But for a mystery virus, they might have pipped Arsenal to fourth place two seasons ago. He appeared to be on borrowed time since the infamous meeting with Ramos in the first week of the campaign.

Guys, read this .. i think Rafael Benitez could be heading towards the first real crisis of his three-year reign at Liverpool after a 2-1 defeat by Besiktas in the city of their greatest triumph last night, left the Reds facing an early exit from the Champions League.

Two years ago in the vast Ataturk stadium outside the city, Liverpool won their fifth European Cup. This time, in the small but intimidating Inonu stadium, Besiktas produced their greatest European victory to leave Liverpool bottom of Group A.

After the home defeat by Marseilles three weeks ago, this setback across the Bosphorus from where they lifted the European Cup in Istanbul in May 2005 had the air of a calamity as Marseilles and FC Porto last night drew 1-1 to cement their places at the top of group A. With Chelsea beating Schalke 04 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last night, on the back of Arsenal and Manchester United winning in such glorious fashion on Tuesday, Liverpool’s despair was all the more tangible.

Having been given the funds to substantially improve his squad this summer, Benitez is operating against a backdrop of heightened expectations and a mixed start to the season has left the Spaniard looking as if the pressure is beginning to get to him.

While, Liverpool lost at Besiktas 2-1 on Wednesday and has only a point after three Champions League games, Arsenal however beat Slavia Prague 7-0 on Tuesday to equal the best-ever scoreline in the Champions League and keep a perfect record in Europe after three games.

The Gunners have won their last 12 games in all competitions and are unbeaten in the Premier League. Even in 2003-04, when Arsenal went through the entire league season unbeaten, the Gunners' best sequence was 10 straight wins in all competitions.

The defeat at Besiktas means Benitez’s men must win their remaining three matches and hope other results go their way if they are to reach the knockout stage of a competition.

Veteran German goalkeeper Jens Lehmann has launched a scathing attack against his club manager Arsene Wenger and the two goalies keeping him on the sidelines at Arsenal. He has warned Arsène Wenger not to "humiliate" him by leaving on the bench and criticised rival Manuel Almunia after he was left out of the Arsenal squad to play Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

Lehmann found himself barred even from the bench for this weekend’s Premier League match against Bolton, with young Pole Lukasz Fabianski preferred as back-up to Almunia.

And now the German stopper has questioned his manager’s thinking and even the credentials of his team-mates, while claiming he is being humiliated. Speaking in an interview with German pay-TV station Premiere, due to be aired during yesterday’s Champions League programme,

Lehmann declared:

"It could be that at some point I feel like commenting on the whole issue, but right at the moment I just accept everything as part of the humiliation. You have to let it happen. "But I think - and this is directed towards my dear coach - that you should not humiliate players for too long. I am an Arsenal player and I will not just fade away quietly."

Yesterday, Wenger said that both Lehman and Gilberto Silva – who has also lost his first team place – had been great "professionals".

"Gilberto and Lehmann are certainly not happy, but their attitude in training is certainly spot on," Wenger said. "My biggest job is to win the next game, and my players are so professional they will always behave like professionals."

Mark Clattenburg, the referee at the centre of controversy following his handling of the Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool last Saturday, has been removed from the list of referees due to officiate in Premier League matches this weekend as a result of his performance during the Goodison Park fixture.

The man in black dismissed two Everton players, defender Tony Hibbert and captain Phil Neville, failed to dismiss Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt for a kung-fu style challenge on Neville and denied the home side a late penalty following an apparent foul by Jamie Carragher on Everton defender Joleon Lescott.

David Moyes, the Everton manager, also suggested that Clattenburg had been influenced by the Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard when dismissing Hibbert. He said: "The referee pulled out a yellow at first. I don't know whether he changed his mind but he didn't look as though he was going to give a red card until their captain (Gerrard) went over to speak to him." For the record, Gerrard rates Clattenburg as one of his favourite referees because he talks to players during a game.

The derby was marked by several refereeing decisions by Clattenburg that, according to Everton, favoured Liverpool. The official has been left off the list of appointments for this weekend, but it took many hours yesterday before the League said that it was because he was refereeing a match in Moscow on Thursday, and not as a result of his performance, which has been widely criticised.

Didier Drogba has declared that he wants to leave Chelsea because "something is broken" at the club following the departure of Jose Mourinho. He will follow Jose Mourinho in leaving Chelsea. The striker claims the club have been "broken" by the manager's departure.

In a highly-inflammatory comments, the striker also accused some players of driving the former Chelsea manager out. Although Drogba didn't name anyone Mourinho had an ongoing dispute with Andrei Shevchenko, while he also believes a row with captain John Terry helped seal his fate.

"The damage has been big in the dressing room because we know now what happened and who caused Mourinho's departure".

Drogba was quick to blame Chelsea's owner, Roman Abramovich, for both Mourinho's exit and his own impending one. Drogba said: “I’ve taken the decision to leave. Sacking Mourinho has done a lot of harm to the squad — we now know what happened and those who forced Mourinho out.”

"We all feel that the shared story ended too quickly ... we are left with a feeling of incompleteness and impotence," said the 29-year-old.

"Everything was halted at the whim of the president. We are mere employees. I don't hide the fact that I took the whole episode very badly. I can only say that I was unpleasantly surprised and very angry by just looking at some people."

Ajax coach Ten Cate set to join Chelsea

According to Dutch media reports, ten Cate is expected to sign a $12.5 million three-year deal and become part of new manager Avram Grant's coaching team. After an internal consultation, Ajax agreed to the request. It is believed Ajax have asked for compensation of about £1 million, even though Ten Cate's contract expires next summer.
